HONOURS & MINOR DEGREE
An Honours is a higher level of academic achievement in the major area of study. Students may opt for a minor, which involves taking a secondary concentration of courses that complement the honours field. The minor courses are coherent sequences that can be taken in addition to the courses required for the B.Tech degree, and they help to improve career advancement.

Note:
B.E/B.Tech Honour
- Should have passed all the courses in the first attempt with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 and earn additional – 18 credits (min) from any of the verticals of the same programme.
B.E/B.Tech Minor Degree
- Earn additional – 18 credits (min) from any one vertical of other programmes (max. of 6 credits could be earned through – Swayam).
MINOR DEGREE
To diversify and enhance their skills, students can opt for a minor in a department other than their major. For instance, a student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) can choose to pursue a minor in Elecronics, resulting in a B.Tech degree in CSE with a minor in Electronics. Pursuing a minor allows students to add breadth and diversity to their major, ultimately improving their employability prospects and skillset.
