Department of Bioscience (Biotechnology and Microbiology) organized one day industry connect workshop entitled ‘Master the Molecular Biology Lab Skills’ in association with Edubio skill and Bento labs Bangalore. The participants were trained in basic molecular Biology protocols and where are given a hands on training on processing DNA samples. Further, the participants were given demo on the integrated molecular biology work station consisting of mini thermal cycler, mini centrifuge, mini agrose gel apparatus, and mini blue LED light transilluminator. This workstation would enable a young aspiring researcher to have a portable workstation which he or she could used for in situ analysis of samples. The EDU bio skill provides multidimensional platforms even for a non science graduate to undergo skill training and understand basic concepts of laboratory techniques.
